Sister Terry Rickard, O.P., is a Blauvelt, NY, Dominican Sister. She was appointed Executive Director of RENEW International in May 2006 and President in December 2009. She holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Preaching from Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally, she earned a Master of Divinity Degree at Union Theological Seminary in New York City and a Master of Arts Degree in Religion and Religious Education at Fordham University.

Reflecting her early ministry in multicultural parishes in the South Bronx in New York City, Sister Terry has developed a keen appreciation for the blessings and challenges of parish life, a strong commitment to serving poorer parishes, and an understanding of the particular needs of our ethnically diverse Church.

In addition to parish work, Sr. Terry was a member of the Archdiocese of New York Parish Mission Team and was the Director of Vocation and Formation for her Dominican congregation. Sister Terry is a nationally known retreat leader and speaker at events such as the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress and the Mid-Atlantic Congress. Her enthusiasm for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ is contagious. Under her leadership, RENEW launched several new and important pastoral processes focused on evangelization, faith formation and spiritual renewal.

Sister Terry's books Live Lent! Year A, B, and C, published by RENEW International contain weekly small group faith-sharing sessions and personal daily meditations with prompts in a journal format. She has also written Advent and Lent devotionals for The Living Gospel series published by Ave Maria Press. She is also a contributing author to the books Spiritual Manifestos and Preaching in the Sunday Assembly. Sister Terry is a member of the Board of Directors for Holy Cross Family Ministries and St. Dominic's Home.

Sister Terry is a regular contributor to the RENEW International blog and you can follow her on twitter at @SrTerryRickard.

In March of 2019, Sr. Terry, along with Sr. Jennifer Schaaf, OP, appeared on "Ask Sister" when A Nun's Life Ministry's "Motherhouse Road Trip" stopped at their home base, Blauvelt, NY. Listen as Sr. Terry and Sr. Jen talk about the very different faith and life journeys that led them to religious life as Blauvelt Domincans.
